EPT Warsaw Day 1B Highlights
After two sessions of the EPT Warsaw Polish Open Main Event, our current chip leader is Roland de Wolfe, who overtook Anthony Lellouche, the chip leader from session A.

Yesterday's
session wasn't as exciting as 1A day. However, a few known pros in Casinos Poland in
Hyatt Regency gave rays of hope to the fans, but overall it was an average
tournament and the boredom was brewing. Nobody, apart of known players, played very well. Roland de Wolfe, who didn't have any spectacular moments, moved up in
the chip rankings. Grospellier seemed to be the leader, however he finished 10th.
Below are some of the greatest hands and some photos from the event.

The first interesting hand came at the table where Johannes Strassmann was sitting and Marino Serenelli and Rasmus Nielsen were involved in the
pot. Rasmus started from middle
position for 150, but Serenelli 3-bet from the button for 450. Small
blind player joined and Nielsen called. The flop brought a
and the action checked around the
aggrressive button player. He continued for 800 and he unexpectedly got two
calls. The turn brought the
and the small blind player
checked; then Nielsen raised for 2200 and Marino (on the button) called, while the small blind folded. The river
brought a
and Rasmus re-raised for
4200. Serinelli thought for a while and then he folded. Nielsen showed...

Here we have Bertrand Elky
Grospellier's hands: On a flop of

player bet for 400 and he was instantly called by Elky who was on the button. The
turn brought a
. This time the middle
position player checked, so Elky bet for 1,000 and the opponent check/raised for 3,000 in total. The
winner from Nassau
called and the dealer put a

the last street. The middle position player checked and Bertrand made
a big bet of 4,500. After a while, the opponent folded and Elky won the
pot. Thanks to that, he had one of the biggest stacks of the tournament of around 30,000.

In the beginning of the
toutnament, Luca Pagano shared the table with Sebastian Ruthenberg. The clash between
these two was amazing: Luca started with a raise for
400 from late position, and he got 3-bet for 1,400 by Sebastian, who sat in the
big blind. The Italian player called, the flop brought
, and
Sebastian continued for
1,700 while Luca went all-in. Ruthenberg thought for a while, and finally,
he decided to call with...
Luca showed
. Then, only a miracle
could save Ruthenberg. On turn came 
. It is a well-known fact that miracles

. After that hand, Luca was left with 2,500 chips and then he was waiting for his lucky fluke. Pagano didn't last till the end, and he busted out

Katja Thater had a good
day and below is one of her hands: Katja Thater started the hand with an open raise
from UTG+1. When the action revolved around to the big blind player, he decided to
3-bet. Katja called and we saw a flop of

Even so, the big blind

the end of the day we had an amazing suckout at the table #2: Alain Roy played all-in
preflop with the pocket tens, but his Italian opponent had pocket kings. The flop brought Ax Jx 6x, then the turn showed a Qx , which gave another 4 outs to Roy. Unfortunately, the last street brought a... king.

with an open ended straight draw. Unluckily for Tomson, the river brought a . It turned out that Krzesinski was left with 250 chips in his stack, which

. Unfortunately an ace didn't show on board, so the tournament was finished for Tomek.

Lukasz Wasek started in the small blind position with his last hand and the big blind player decided not to raise. The flop brought Kx 4x 2x, so Lukas played passive in this hand. His opponent bet then Lukas called. The turn brought 3x and the Polish player checked again, but after his rival's raise, he played all-in and he got called. Then he showed Kx 9x, while his opponent had Kx 4x, so he had two pairs at the moment. The river didn't change anything so we lost another Polish runner.
