2009 Wynn Classic: Day 1
Wynn Classic $10,000 championship saw 104 players attending the day one in hopes of reaching the final table and a piece of over $1 million prize pool. Likes of Scott Montgomery and Isaax Haxton have already left the tournament after getting knocked out by the current chip leader, Danny Noam.
The 2009 Wynn Classic $10,000 championship kicked off yesterday as 104players gathered to battle for a piece of the $1,008,800 prize pool.
Players began with
stacks of 30,000 chips and 90-minute levels started at 25-50 blind levels.
Danny Noam managed to take the chip lead early on and kept it through
the rest of the day as his stack grew to 193,700. Another player who
had a good day was Joe Tozer, as he knocked out Isaac Haxton and Scott
Montgomery, eventually finishing the day in the third place with
139,625 in chips.
Patrik Stemper came a bit late with the tournament already being half
way through the first level, but that didn't prevent him from reaching
the second place with 159,425 at the end of the day.
Other notable names amongst the survivors include Matt Graham, Andrew
Robl, Jimmy Fricke, Eric Baldwin, Michae DeMichele, Sorel Mizzi, Scott
Seiver, Steve Billirakis, Justin Bonomo, David Daneshgar and Ralph
Perry.
Remaining players will play for the top 12 places which give cash, with the first place finisher receiving $348,036.
