Day 2 of the WSOP Circuit Championship event at New Orleans saw the remaining 62 players fighting their way towards the final table. After a series of bad beats and tough encounters, the final table was set.

New OrleansDay 2 of the WSOP Circuit Championship event at New Orleans saw 62
players returning to the tables. In the end, only nine of the original
167 players fought their way to the final table.

Nick Ceci, the defending champion of this event, was shown his way out
and several more notable names made their exits until the end of the
day. David Woo ran into a cooler when his flopped set of fives ran into
a flopped set of jacks. Woo left the field just 8 places short of the
money.

With Woo out of the tournament, Dan Schmiech was the last remaining
player who has a WSOP bracelet but his luck was no better, as he ran
with A-K into Jean Gaspard's pocket queens. Schmiech finished in 19th
place as the bubble boy.

bad beats end the day

Dwyte Pilgrim had a rough start on Day 1, then worked his way up only
to spoil it all by making a bluff against Deeb which didn't go well at all. Pilgrim made another comeback after that, but the history repeated
itself on Day 2, as he was again caught bluffing and this time it was fatal. Pilgrim packed his bags in 18th place which earned him $13,982.

Shaun Deeb was looking good until his aces got cracked by pocket threes which turned into a flopped set and then his A-Q ran into pocket aces of the same player and Shaun shipped the rest of his chips to him, thus ending in 14th place.

Matt Brady had his share of misfortune when his A-K lost against A-Q after a four-flush hit the board. He was left with a short stack and then got caught on his third all-in shove when he was holding just eight high. The final table bubble boy was Richard Kirsch, who ran into Jean Gaspard's pocket fours with his pocket deuces.
