WSOP 2009: PartyBets Declares Ivey As The Favourite
As the World Series of Poker 2009 is quickly approaching, PartyBets has now settled on a favourite for the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Championship.
Behind Ivey, a whole 15 players follow with the same winning quota of 201:1 - including the eleven-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth.
The Poker Brat is thus put on par with the likes of Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu, Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen, Johnny Lodden and Ivan Demidov. If you however were to bet on Bertrand Grospellier, Chris Ferguson, Peter Eastgate or Patrik Antonius, you would already earn $251 for each dollar put at stake.
If you want to win even more, you have to bet on the victory of Johnny Chan, Annette Obrestad,
Huck Seed, Doyle Brunson, or the winner of last year's $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, Scotty Nguyen, who are all listed with odds of 351:1.
A victory of David Benyamine, Luca Pagano or William Thorson is worth $501 according to PartyBets, while you can win $501 in the event of Brian Townsend, Vicky Coren or Isabelle Mercier winning the bracelet.
A triumph from the German community appears to be rather unlikely if you take a look at their listings. In spite of the excellent results of the German participants at the EPT, with a whole three titles going their way, and in spite of the current World Champion in Seven Card Stud, Sebastion Ruthenberg, not a single German player has made his way onto the list so far.
