PokerStars.it Italian Poker Tour has recently made its stop in Venice. The tournament attracted 439 players, including likes of Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso. Even though Rousso was on top of the leaderboard when the field was down to just 18 players, she had to pack her bags in 14th place which earned her €8,000.

After a 14-hour final table, it was a 21-year-old poker pro from Manchester Matt Perrins who successfully battled through a tough field to claim the first place and €200,000 in prize money. Perrins was the chip leader on Day 1A and managed to survive all the way through, with his last obstacle being the heads-up opponent Johannes Soderstrom from Sweden.

The IPT Venice was a huge success, generating a prize pool of €851,660 which makes it the second most successful IPT stop ever. The tour will now move on to the next stop in San Remo where the €2,000+€200 event will be held from 28th to 30th of August. PokerStars is already hosting satellites to this event.
