Nazgul's Shabby Kings

NazgulNazgul started his day off nicely, by nearly doubling his stack, and picking off a couple of bluffs with marginal hands (see below).

Halfway throughout the day, Nazgul's key hand, that could have led him to the final table, was played. With 19 players left he picked up pocket Kings.

He 3-bet it pre-flop and got it cold called by Barney Boatman, a live pro. On the flop Barney Boatman check-raised Nazgul and he couldn't let his Kings go easily.

A massive pot was played and it turns out Boatman cold called with Th9s to hit trips on the flop. Nazgul dropped to 15k after this, which was only a third of average.

With blinds 400/800 and ante 100 the final hand came. A raise and a call preflop before Nazgul acted and he shipped it in with KsJs for 20 big blinds. The original raiser called with the pre-flop nuts, also known as pocket rockets.

A turn brought some hope for him, when a King came, but no lucky river and Nazgul was out in 18th place.

Ace On The River

AceOnLeRiver
ace0ntheriver is looking to repeat success. Even before he finished high school he took first place in LAPT Mar Del Plata for $381,000.

Now he is on the road to repeat another major win as he is among the last 7 in Marrakech to claim the title of best High Roller.

He is playing well and running good. Receiving some complaints from fellow poker players on his table for always being in the right spot. He got a set over set and Aces against Kings in the late stage. Ross Boatman called him a nit after being 4-bet by the young player. Ross was shown a 4h in return.

Currently he has over 322,000 in chips. This is good for second place in total chip counts. A nice place to be in right before the money.
