UK and Ireland Poker Tour schedule announced

UK and Ireland Poker Tour, sponsored by PokerStars, has just announced its schedule. With a total of nine stops, Season 1 is expected to attract numerous players, as there will be both low and high buy-in events.

PokerStars is spreading across the globe, from sponsoring the English national rugby team (read more here) to hosting poker shows, and now yet another project has been revealed - the UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT).

Galway to set Season 1 in motion

The tour is set to start in December and will run throughout 2010, taking place in Ireland, England and Scotland. The first stop on the tour will be in Galway, Ireland from December 11th to December 14th.

The buy-in for the events on the tour will range from as low as £500+£50  to between £1,000 and £2,000. The tournament series will end with the 2010 EPT London in October where the main event will feature a £5,000 buy-in.

PokerStars is already hosting satellites for the UKIPT Season 1 and a list of all the events on the schedule can be found below:
