The Aussie Millions Main Event Is Raring To Go
The Crown Casino in Melbourne opened its gates on the 14th of January and is offering tournament players the biggest poker event of the southern hemisphere. The main event begins on Sunday and two of the Team PokerStrategy.com players who will be participating are: Allanon and Bongbob.
The Aussie Millions 2010 are in full swing and one famous player has already secured a title in Event #4: Annette Obrestad was able to prove herself in the AUD $1,000 pot-limit Omaha tournament and moved to the top of the field. The Norwegian cashed in AUD $40,000 for her victory.
Tomorrow, Saturday, a highlight of the tournament series will begin: The AUD $100,000 event offers several high-rollers the opportunity to measure themselves against each other at the tables. Amongst the expected participants are Gus Hansen (pictured right) and Phil Ivey. Hansen will fondly recall his previous appearance in the Aussie Millions. He was able to decide the main event of 2007 for himself. He will surely make use of the opportunity to pay the buy-in of AUD $10,500 this year as well and try his luck at the tournament with the highest payout of this series.PokerStrategists Down Under
