Cake Poker in Private Beta Phase, New Client Soon to Come
Cake Poker has announced that they are working on a new client which is now in closed beta status. The new client is expected to be online in approximately two months and a preview is now available.
A new poker client for Cake Poker is currently being developed. At the moment, only a few selected players are working together with their software developers, as the client is in its closed beta phase.
The final version of the client is expected to be launched within two months. The open beta will start as soon as the private beta phase is finished, when players will be able to test the new client in parallel with the existing one.
Lee Jones, Cake Poker Card Room Manager, said: "We are excited to launch the private beta for our new Cake Poker client and to get some further feedback on our efforts. We are delighted at the how the client is currently operating and looking forward to being able to offer an improved online poker experience to all our players."
Below you can find some of the key features which will be implemented into the new client:
- Main lobby stretches both horizontally and vertically
- Excel-like multi-field sorting and advanced filtering for detailed game/tournament choice
- Tournament listing permits direct registration
- Tournament lobby includes links to satellites
- Tables scale down to "industry standard" minimum size
- Chat box detaches for management as a separate window
- Players can customize card backs, table felt, and "carpet"
- Tournament notifier allows players to filter out any/all tournament notices
- Players can put upcoming tournaments on calendar to be reminded later
