EPT Vilamoura: Day 3 Beckons for Thorsten77

Team PokerStrategy.com's newest member, Thorsten77, continued his run in the PokerStars EPT Vilamoura as he played his way into Day 3. Fellow team member BongBob, however, hit the rails on Day 2.

After another 6 levels of play, Day 2 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour in Vilamoura ended with only 69 players left in the field. The players are now just 13 eliminations from the money, which guarantees a minimum payout of €7,263.

Team PokerStrategy.com member, Thorsten Thorsten77 Schafer, is still in the running to make his first ever cash for the team. He will start Day 3 as one of the shorter stacks left, with just over 15 big blinds to his name.

Big names hit the rails

Famous names like Dario Minieri, Lex Veldhuis, Liv Boeree, Alexander Kravchenko and David Williams were among the 221 players who started Day 2. Unfortunately for all of them, they have been sent to the rails and will go home empty handed.

Meanwhile, Brandon Cantu put himself in pole position for the title, as he ended the day with 557,400 chips. Day 1A leader and Portuguese PokerStars Team Online member, Andre Coimbra, follows closely behind with 476,400 chips.
