High Stakes: Isildur1 Secretly Playing at PokerStars?

There hasn't been much action at the high stakes tables since most poker pros arrived in London for the WSOP Europe. We are giving you a recap of the past few days and wonder if it is true that Isildur1 is now playing at PokerStars.

London is without a doubt the center of the poker world at the moment. Most poker pros have gathered in the English capital to participate in the English Poker Open 2010, which came to an end a few days ago, or to join the WSOP Europe, which is currently being held in the city.

That's why there hasn't been so much action at the high stakes tables in the past few days and even the durrrr challenge is resting for a bit, as Dwan is also currently residing in London.

Ziigmund: Up and down

One of the highlights of the past few days is Ziigmund's (see picture to the right) match against Cole South, in which Ziigmund could win $744k from South in a little over 1,000 hands at $500/$1.000 PLO.

After this triumph he was eager to take on David Benefield in a $500/$1000 Cap PLO game, but this encounter was less successful than the match against Cole. Cap PLO is not one of Ziigmund's favourite variants and he was disappointed when his opponent did not want to play deep-stacked.

All in all, it was a rather unlucky choice and he ended up losing $181k to Benefield.

Isildur1 at PokerStars?

Once again there are rumours about Isildur1, the mysterious Swedish player whose identity is still unknown. Highstakesdb suspected that Isildur is now playing at PokerStars instead of Full Tilt Poker. Could it be Isildur hiding behind the PokerStars nickname "grolongo"?

It seems that both Isildur1 and grolongo play from Gothenburg, Sweden. Besides this geographical 'proof', there also appear to be similarities in their playing style and their behaviour towards the who-is-who at PokerStars. It remains to be seen whether or not the rumours turn out to be true.
