High Stakes Action: Isildur1 Sighted, Hansen Drops $600k

Less than a week after picking up £288,409 for his first WSOP bracelet win, Gus Hansen has lost all of it and more on the high stakes tables in a session with Ziigmund. Besides that, Isildur1 has made a rare appearance on Full Tilt Poker.

After a lull in the online high stakes action thanks to all the live events happening in London, the nosebleed stakes regulars seem to be hitting the tables again on Full Tilt Poker.

Isildur1 plotting his comeback?

The two players who received the most attention from the recent action were Isildur1 and Gus Hansen, but for two very different reasons. In the case of Isildur1, such is his appeal to the poker community that a mere sighting of his avatar on Full Tilt Poker has managed to generate quite a buzz.

Isildur1 was spotted playing on the Cap NL Hold'em tables for a short while, but was gone again, due to the scheduled maintenance on Full Tilt Poker's servers. He reportedly scored a $26k profit in the brief session.

Gus blows live tourney score in one session

As for Gus Hansen, he once again topped the table for being the player who sustained the highest losses for the day. In a session of $500/$1,000 Heads-up Cap PLO, Ziigmund  emerged as a huge winner after picking up $600k from Hansen. To top it off, he also won a further $150k from Harrington25 in the same game.

This latest is a disappointing one for Hansen's fans as they were hoping the recent £288,409 bracelet win would begin a revival of sorts for Hansen. As of late, Hansen has sustained heavy losses online and has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
