News: High Stakes Action: Gus Hansen Up $489k in Two Days

Hansen put in two solid winning sessions between Sunday night and Monday afternoon to recoup some of his losses for the year. Most of his winnings came from Urindanger, who contributed $239k to the total.

After Highstakesdb released their latest high stakes rankings for 2010, Gus Hansen (pictured right) came in for quite a bit of ridicule, when he took second place in the losers table with $3.68 million in losses.

Since then, Hansen has bounced back in a big way and recovered close to half a million dollars of those losses in just two days.

Those winnings came in just two sessions and he earned most of his winnings from Urindanger in a session which began on Sunday night. They played at Full Tilt Poker's $500/$1,000 Pot Limit Omaha Cap tables and Hansen won $239k in just 304 hands.

Hansen then rode his hot streak onto the $2,000/$4,000 Omaha 8 tables to win $121k from Ziigmund on Monday afternoon. The rest of Hansen's winnings came from the 7-Game tables.
