PokerStars Modifies SCOOP Prize Pool and Starting Times
Due to the fact that American players will not be able to join, the 2011 Spring Championship of Online Poker has undergone some changes. The guaranteed prize pool will now be $25 million and the tournaments will start three hours earlier.
As you may already know, American players were recently blocked from playing at PokerStars, but also at Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet.
Due to these market changes, PokerStars has made some adjustments to its Spring Championship of Online Poker. Check out the details below:
SCOOP details
- Starting date: Sunday, May 8 2011
- Ending date: Sunday, May 22 2011
- Overall guaranteed prize pool: $25 million (from $45 million)
- Number of events: 38 (each event has three buy-in levels: low, medium, high)
- Starting times: moved down by three hours
- Buy-in range: from $5 to $25,500
The $10,300 Main Event will kick off on May 22, 18:00 GMT and it will have a guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million instead of the original $5 million.
