WPT Malta Day 3: Jackson Genovesi Brings his Chip Lead to the Final Table
After 3 days of play at the Casino at Portomaso, the WPT Malta has reached its 6-player final table. Jackson Genovesi continued to crush his competition on Day 3, and for the third consecutive day finished with the chip lead.

After 3 days of play, the WPT Malta has reached its final table. The top prize is €120,000, and 5 players at the final table will have their work cut out for them if they plan on putting a stop to Jackson Genovesi's incredible week.
Who's at the final table?
Jackson Genovesi (1,553,000 chips) - Italian Jackson Genovesi has an opportunity to complete a very rare feat - he may finish each day of this tournament with the chip lead. His stack was the biggest between both starting days, and he finished both Day 2 and 3 with the lead. He'll enter the final table in first and seems to be unstoppable this week. Genovesi has earned about $120,000 in lifetime tournament earnings.
Yorane Kerignard (1,422,000 chips) - French pro Yorane Kerignard is likely very hungry for his first major tournament win. He has over $850,000 in lifetime earnings and has reached 3 EPT final tables, but his best result was 4th place. He'll hope that the WPT is better luck for him on Thursday.
Sampo Ryynanen (962,000 chips) - Sampo Ryynanen is a young Finnish player with over $150,000 in earnings, highlighted by a 3rd place finish in a Unibet Open event which took place at the very same casino that this event is currently in (the Casino at Portomaso).
Alessio Isaia (535,000 chips) - Although he's in the bottom half of the chip counts, Italian pro Alessio Isaia has the table covered in terms of experience. He has over $2 million in lifetime tournament earnings, including a victory at the WPT Venice in 2011.
Hui Chen Kuo (524,000 chips) - Hui Chen Kuo is a young Chinese player whose tournament earnings of almost $120,000 are mostly from cashes in Asian tournaments in Macau and Cebu.
Zeljko Krizan (174,000 chips) - Zeljko Krizan seems to be entering the final table with the least chips and experience. We were unable to find any previous cashes in large events - could a WPT victory be his first?

Qualify for WPT National Series Vienna
It is too late to qualify for WPT Malta, but you can still qualify for the WPT National Series at the Montesino in Vienna, which takes place between October 13-16.
You have until September 23 to win a $4,000 package to play in the main event. This includes the $1,500 main event buy-in, accommodation for three nights, and $1,750 spending money.
Daily freerolls and feeders starting at $1 are available to win your place in the $200+$15 direct satellite on Sundays at 15:20 ET. One in 20 players will win a package, and one package is guaranteed.
