Negreanu and Elder Flying High In WSOP APAC Main Event

The official numbers are in for the WSOP APAC AUD$10,000 Main Event after day two, which saw Daniel Negreanu and PokerStrategy.com coach Rupert Elder enjoy big days.

405 players in total entered the event, creating a prize pool of AUD$3,847,500 and a first prize of AUD$1,038,825. 40 players in total will get paid.

Day two of the main event has just concluded and although the official numbers are not in yet, it looks like high roller Windfred Yu is the overnight chip leader with over 400,000 chips.

But all eyes will be on KidPoker himself, Daniel Negreanu, who with over 300,000 chips is likely to be in the top five chip stacks heading into day three.

Lots of big names are still doing very well including Rupert Elder, Benny 'psychobenny' Spindler, Jonathan Karamalikis, Dan Shak, Erik Seidel, Jonathan Duhamel, Antonio Esfandiari and Barry Greenstein.

Some players not coming back for day three include Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Greg Merson, Joe Hachem and Sam Trickett.

Day three starts tomorrow at 12pm local time and it is also the start of the AUD$50,000 High Roller non-bracelet event.
