Being eliminated on the bubble is never fun, but if you're not actually around to see the demise of your chips it can be somewhat easier to take.
Despite having 83,500 chips, Nuno da Camara never made it to his seat on Day 3 of EPT Barcelona's Main Event and eventually became the bubble boy after the blinds devoured his stack.
Thanks to Camara's exit 183 players were guaranteed at least €8,680 and at the close of play just 79 were left with a shot at the €1,067,000 top prize.
Leading the survivors into today's session was Tom Middleton (1,030,000), closely followed by Alejandro Perez Torres (990,000) and Kevin Vandermissen (970,000). Day 4 kicked off earlier and you can catch all the latest action here.
Cristos becomes a WPT legend
A tense opening and a flash finish saw Jordan Cristos walk away with the latest WPT title and $613,355 yesterday. After lining up alongside five other pros, including Phil Laak, Cristos was able to clinch the WPT Legends of Poker trophy after dispatching Dan Heimiller heads-up.
Despite Heimiller enjoying an upswing towards the close of play it was Cristos who finished strongest, eventually sealing a memorable victory; his 
was enough to best his opponent's 
when the board rolled out:

Despite being held in Spain it seems that German grinders were the most abundant during this year's EPT Barcelona Main Event, closely followed by a strong contingent of Russians.

The official rules for Nick DiVella's bathtub bet have just been published and, in addition to pushing back the start date, a number of interesting clauses have been added to the contract.
During his six-day stint Nick will have to face a number of tough conditions, including: sleeping without a blanket, wearing one set of clothes, eating only five peanut butter and jam sandwiches a day and surviving without electronic equipment or cleaning products.
Perhaps the most concerning aspect of the bet is that Nick will have to sign a waiver before it starts because there is a fear blood clots could pose a health risk. In light of the new conditions, Nick can now win $22,500, but if he can't he'll owe his friend $4,000.
A new high stakes challenge looks set to take place between Douglas "WCGRider" Polk and Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky. According to a recent forum post by Polk, the nosebleed regulars will face each other across the virtual felt and wager a six-figure sum on the outcome:
"I have been in contact with Ben, and we have decided that we will be looking to do a HUNL challenge with a six-figure side bet. We will finish the entirety of the challenge by mid October."
The post promptly received a wave a replies and, while there have been no further details, it seems everyone is excited by the match, including Dan 
Junglemandan Cates who has already speculated on the overall betting line.
