Daniel calls out the Borgata
Despite being one of poker's most active players and a frequent visitor to many of the world's top casinos, Daniel Negreanu isn't afraid to speak out against them when they attack one of his friends.
After learning that the Borgata is taking legal action against Phil Ivey for alleged "unfair" baccarat techniques, Daniel recently directed a verbal tirade towards the New Jersey casino.
Disgusted by what he believes to be double standards, Daniel described the Borgata as "whiny biatches" for crying foul play after Phil found a way to exploit their system.
Being a poker player means Daniel knows the value of exploiting an opponent's weaknesses and that seems to be the message he was trying to convey when he told the Borgata to "enjoy" being "bent over" and "hustled".

Koon leads WPT World Championship

After a quiet start on Monday, this year's WPT World Championship moved up a gear yesterday after 225 players took to the felt for Day 1B of the $15,400 Main Event.
With the overall field hitting 328 entrants it meant last year's total of 146 runners was comfortably exceeded; something which seems to confirm that the change of venue (from the Bellagio to the Borgata), lowering of the buy-in by $10k and the addition of a $5 million guarantee was in the event's best interest.
Among the earlier runners lining up on Day 1B was Dan Smith, Ryan Riess and Mike Matusow, but as they session progressed it was Jason Koon that finished on top.
After collecting 252,800 chips the American pro was able to finish ahead of Athanasios Polychronopoulos, Keith Lehr and Lee Markholt who all surpassed the 200,000 chip mark.
Day 2 got underway earlier with 200 players still in contention for a top prize of $1 million+.
Bellande rides with Baywatch babe
For someone who claims to be broke Jean-Robert Bellande still enjoys a high roller lifestyle and in the last 24 hours his quasi-baller status was further solidified when he flew with Pamela Anderson.
We don't know how, but the poker socialite got the Baywatch babe (who was sporting a "different" hair style) to share a private jet with him from L.A. to Las Vegas and to prove the encounter he posted a picture of the moment on Instagram.

'Denoking' emerged as the dominant high stakes performer in the last 24 hours thanks to a $212,777 haul. After grinding through 888 hands the online pro was able to take money from 'Trueteller' and Ben Sulsky to finish clear of Ben Tollerene and 'NittySlick' on the daily profit leaderboard.
Thanks to the dominance of 'Denoking', 'Trueteller' was pushed to the top of the latest loss leaderboard after dropping $127,322. Also feeling the force of negative variance last night was the aforementioned Sulsky and 'Doorbread'.

If it wasn't for bad luck he'd probably be rich, but unfortunately for Jean-Robert Bellande if this clip is any representation of his fortunes then he'll always be a broke grinder.
