Cold decks inside the Rio
Poker players often complain about cold decks, but in the last 24 hours the trend seems to be complaining about the power of the Rio's air-conditioning.
For the last few years the temperature has always been an issue for WSOP regulars, but in the early stages of this year's event the organisers appeared to have rectified the situation.
However, as things have heated up outside so too has the Rio's desire to crank up its AC to Arctic conditions.
Naturally this has caused a problem for the players spending hours each day in search of a bracelet and many are now clambering to put on as many clothes as possible in an effort to stay warm.

Kevmath challenged
Think you know a lot about poker? Think you know more than Kevin 'Kevmath' Mathers?
Well, the people at the Bluff wanted to find out if there was anyone at the WSOP with more trivia prowess than Mr. Mathers so they've been scouting the Rio for people to take on the fact master.
Entitled "Stump the Kevmath", the latest instalment of the quiz features Jason Mercier and Doug Polk in a battle of wits about old people and poker.
So far the font of poker knowledge has edged out the majority of his challengers and it seems that trend isn't likely to change any time soon.

PokerStars and the EPT have just signed a new sponsorship deal, this time with audio equipment specialists, Skullcandy.
After renewing its relationship with PokerTracker, the EPT will now count the mainstream headphone company as an official commercial partner through Season 11.
Poker players have always had a penchant for fancy headphones and in the coming months they'll be able to add a pair of Crushers to their collection when they qualify for their first EPT of the new season.
On top of players benefitting from the new deal, viewers of PokerStars' popular live stream will also be able to win some exclusive merchandise through a series of competitions and freerolls.

The latest round of WSOP bracelet hunting saw Chris Wallace stand victorious after a tough $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event.
Despite having to bypass a stellar selection of senior poker figures, including David Benyamine and Bruno Fitoussi, Wallace was able to prove his poker dexterity as the tournament entered its latter stages.
Indeed, after watching Bill Chen, Max Pescatori and Richard Ashby fall by the wayside, Wallace eventually clinched the title during a round of Stud against Randy Ohel.
The final hand saw Wallace make a full house to oust Ohel for a consolation prize worth $313,715, while he smiled in the spotlight with his new bracelet and $507,614.
