Phil Hellmuth rejects "Wife Swap" opportunity

We bring you a trio of funny stories you may have missed this week, including a bizarre Ebola related arrest in the US.

Hellmuth turns down 'Wife Swap'

Would you swap your husband/father with Hellmuth?

According to several reports circulating this week, 13-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth was given the opportunity to appear on the American reality TV show "Wife Swap", but had to turn it down because his wife wasn't up for it.

"Have an offer to be on ABC television show 'Wife Swap', but wife won't do it! Though I'm sure she would look amazing", said the Poker Brat on Twitter.

Hellmuth also stated in a subsequent interview that he "would've loved to do it" because he thought it would give the public a good look at "the real Phil."

Tilted pensioner cries Ebola

Grumpy old man

We can all sympathise with tilting after a bad run of cards, but one US based grinder was so upset at having his pockets emptied, that he decided to try and scare everyone inside the Cleveland Horseshoe Casino with a false rumour that his wife was a nurse who had contracted Ebola.

This was particularly stupid, as the local community recently learned that Amber Vinson - one of two Texan nurses confirmed to have actually had Ebola - had passed through Cleveland.

A witness noted down the 60-year-old man's license plate number, and police later arrested him at his home address. He is likely to face charges for "inducing panic".

Doug says Jimmy Eats World

Two-time WSOP Circuit Ring winner Doug Lee has an entire 298-page thread dedicated to him being a "toolbox" on 2+2, and after his recent final table encounter with 2007 Aussie Millions runner up Jimmy Fricke, it's not hard to see why:

Thanks to F5Poker for bringing us up to speed on this one.
