New iPoker software to be showcased this week
Take a first look at the new software coming to the iPoker Network in 2015.
Over the last few months, PokerStrategy.com staff in Gibraltar have been given access to a very early version of a new iPoker software client which is currently under development and expected to launch this year. An early development version of the software will be presented at the ICE Totally Gaming Exhibition in London this week.
Here are some first impressions from the testing:
What is being tested?
The version which PokerStrategy.com has been testing is not a Beta version. It's a development version that is being updated regularly. The testing is focussed mainly around usability and, in particular with the PokerStrategy.com team, what experienced poker players want to see.
A lot of the feedback from our team has already been incorporated, especially around the gameplay on the table, with many of our suggestions being worked on.

What is different?
The new client is being developed from scratch and will allow quicker iterations going forward.
The look and feel of the lobby goes generally into a more modern and polished area which is reminiscent of the Xbox One. There is a Home dashboard which is targeting new and recreational players, and helps them easily to find and access games, as well as showing clearly any available tournament tokens they have.
The table on the other hand will look like what poker players expect to see from sites like PokerStars. The screenshot in this article shows what it should look like based on our feedback but the current version available is still an early build with an old table layout and graphics.
What will it look like?
The images here show the new Home lobby and the table. Please note that the content of the images can change due to feedback and ongoing improvements:

When can I test it?
We will shortly be inviting PokerStrategy.com freelancers for closed Beta testing. Additionally iPoker cardrooms will also start running Closed Beta tests with selected players before an Open Beta will be launched later this year. In this Open Beta any interested players will be able to participate.
Stay tuned to PokerStrategy.com for more information about this new software later on this year.
