22-year old hyper turbo SNG grinder Liliya 'Liay5' Novikova secures 'dream' sponsorship deal with PokerStars.
It's fair to say it's been a pretty good last 12 months or so for Liliya liay5 Novikova.
First she waltzed to our coveted Miss Russia PokerStrategy.com title, now she's locked up a life changing sponsorship deal with industry giants PokerStars.
"I would've played poker anonymously for the rest of my life, and I could've been happy doing it", the 22-year old former pro gamer told the PokerStars blog.
"That didn't stop me dreaming, however. I dreamt of what it would be like to get the call that I was going to become a member of Team Online. As of today that dream has come true."
"I want to make Supernova Elite"
Ambition and unrelenting work ethic seem to be common traits among players signed by the world's largest site these days, and Liliya is no different in that regard.
Not content with her impressive Team Online status, she's already got her sights set on another dream goal - reaching Supernova Elite.
"I have already achieved Supernova status, but I want more. I'm trying to make Supernova Elite. It takes a lot of time and concentration on my game, so I have worked out a schedule and do my best to keep it."
"I play hyper turbo six max, mostly the 60s, but sometimes I mix in the 30s and 100s. I'll be playing as Liay5. Come find me."
