Guilty verdicts in murdered poker player trial
Significant and immediate sentences are expected for the three killers of British poker player Mehmet Hassan.
Last March, British poker player Mehmet Hassan was found beaten to death in his Islington flat after falling foul to a suspected honey-trap killing.
Yesterday a jury in London found Kyrron Jackson and Nicholas Chandler guilty of murder. They found Leonie Granger guilty of manslaughter for setting up the murder and robbery.
56-year-old Hassan was said to have been targeted by Granger, who led him to believe they were romantically involved. On the night he was murdered he gave her £1,000 to gamble with at the Mayfair Casino and they later went back to his flat in Islington.
She then made her excuses and left, but not before letting in Jackson and Chandler, who then murdered and robbed him.

'Significant and immediate' jail time
Jackson and Chandler had also been involved in two armed robberies at the casino around the same time.
One of the key pieces of evidence which led to the prosecution was the testimony of a taxi driver, who overheard Granger giving orders to Jackson and Chandler on her phone to find Hassan's money in his flat.
There was a commotion as the jury reached their verdict, as Chandler became physically and verbally abusive in the dock, and had to be restrained by six security officers.
They will be sentenced on April 28 and Judge William Kennedy has said they can expect 'significant and immediate' jail time.
