Neymar signs with PokerStars
Brazilian football phenom becomes the latest sports star to join the team at the world's largest poker site.

In case you missed the news when it was announced earlier today during the EPT Grand Final live stream, Brazilian football superstar Neymar has been unveiled as the latest PokerStars brand ambassador.
As part of the deal the young Barcelona forward will now promote PokerStars using his immense global popularity - he currently has 18.1 million followers on Twitter - and represent the site at major live poker tournaments.
"Neymar Jr. is a young and extremely charismatic megastar who loves interacting with fans on social media, is comfortable on camera and loves the game of poker", said Amaya CEO David Baazov.
"And as a superstar with one of the world's most famous football clubs and footballing nations, his appeal is global. The partnership is a great opportunity to market the game of poker across the globe and attract new fans."
"I love the challenge of poker"

Neymar joins fellow Brazilian World Cup hero Ronaldo as a PokerStars ambassador, and like his footballing predecessor draws numerous comparisons between his profession and his favourite hobby:
"Growing up and playing football every day has made me an extremely competitive person. When I'm not playing football, playing poker and competing with my team mates or friends in a home game is one of my favourite things to do.
"To be a successful poker player, you require many of the same skills needed to be a successful footballer - mental stength is important, resilience, patience, composure and focus. I love the challenge, whether it's on the pitch or at the poker table."
Neymar can now be found playing at PokerStars under the alias 'neymar-jr'; do you have the attributes required to compete with a born champion?
