Jonathan Duhamel wins One Drop
The former Main Event champion defeats Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Colman and a PokerStrategist on his way to winning the biggest buy-in event of the series.
He may not have a sponsor anymore, but he wont need one for a while, as Jonathan Duhamel has won the $111,111 One Drop High Roller.
The 2010 Main Event champion defeated a field of 135 to take down the $3,989,985 first prize.
It was a very tough final table which included high stakes star Ben Sulsky, WSOP legend Phil Hellmuth and reigning Big One for One Drop champion Daniel Colman.
Duhamel captured the title after defeating businessman Bill Klein heads-up. This win now takes his lifetime winnings to $16,819,897 and, of course, the all-important second WSOP bracelet.
2015 was proving a roller coaster year for Duhamel. He has had a string of cashes this year including a win in a PCA side event, but he also surprisingly lost his PokerStars deal.
He now becomes only the second former post-boom Main Event champion to go on to win a second bracelet after their championship win (Joe Cada being the other person, while Greg Merson won a bracelet prior to his win).
Special mention also has to go to runner-up Bill Klein, who by all accounts has donated his $2,465,522 winnings to the One Drop charity, to go with $750,000 raised in player fees.
Finally congrats to PokerStrategist Sergey '' Lebedev who finished 8th for $466,970. He is having a great Summer after also winning a SCOOP event this year for $309,420.
