Full Tilt unveils new reward system
Find out about the site's latest step in its attempt to create a more balanced poker ecosystem.
Following on from the major changes made to its ring game services at the back end of July, Full Tilt has now announced the next step in its plan to make the site more appealing - and profitable - for recreational players.
Now, instead of just its Edge VIP program which really only rewards higher volume players, there will also be a 'Players Club' option available.
Once Players Club has been officially launched, all Full Tilt players will be automatically signed up, and then presented with the choice between the two reward systems.
Here's what Full Tilt Managing Director Dominic Mansour had to say about their new, flatter rewards program:
"At the heart of Players Club rewards will be a new game called The Deal. It’s fun, fast action and there are all kinds of prizes up for grabs, from tickets and cash all the way up to a progressive jackpot starting at $100,000. We’ve crafted the entire experience in such a way that if you’re an average player playing an average session, you’ll get a shot at that jackpot pretty much every single time you play."
"The new program will also boast double money in freeroll tournaments, mystery prizes awarded weekly, daily added money tournaments exclusive to Players Club members, plus $200,000 in added value on these new benefits after one month."
Changes to the Edge VIP program
As part of Full Tilt's overall plan to distribute more loyalty dollars to recreational players, the base rate of cashback earned by high volume players via the Edge reward program will naturally decrease.
The new Edge cashback program will continue to be based on a 30-day or 100-day rolling average of Full Tilt Points (FTPs) earned, but will now operate via three status tiers:
- Edge Status ($1 per 100 FTPs): Reach by earning a 30-day rolling average of 80 FTPs or a 100-day rolling average of 70 FTPs
- Edge Plus Status ($1.50 per 100 FTPs): Reach by earning a 30-day rolling average of 250 FTPs or a 100-day rolling average of 150 FTPs
- Edge Prime Status ($2 per 100 FTPs plus option to convert points into cash at $1 per 250 FTPs): Reach by earning a 30-day rolling average of 500 FTPs or a 100-day rolling average of 400 FTPs
The rate at which Edge reward program players earn cashback can also be increased by participation in games experiencing low traffic.
A special Edge Bonus Cashback symbol (see right) will be displayed in the Full Tilt lobby next to games at which additional cashback of up to 200% is currently available. Further cashback rewards can also still be won via Full Tilt's monthly Edge Leaderboards.
Full details on both the Players Club and Edge reward programs are expected to be released in the near future.
