2016 World Series of Poker schedule announced
More chips and more people make the money this year at the WSOP in Las Vegas.
The hotly anticipated World Series of Poker schedule has been unveiled and while the events themselves look largely the same, regulars will see plenty of changes within the events they know and love.
The big change is that the majority of events now have a 15% payout structure, a 50% increase in most cases. This means that lots of events will make the money on Day 1.
The $10,000+ events, including the Main Event, will get at least 50,000 chips.
More millionaires guaranteed
The $565 Colossus will award a guaranteed $1 million to the winner, and the Millionaire Maker will guarantee at least $1 million each to the top two finishers.
This will be the first WSOP without a Pot Limit Hold'em event.
As revealed last week there will be a $1,000 Tag Team Event with teams of 2-4 players. Every member of the winning team will win a bracelet.
The only other new format is the $1,000 Top-Up Turbo event, which will see players given the opportunity to top up their starting stack before the event begins in live and online satellites.
