Kara joins 888poker
Canadian/English poker player and TV presenter Kara Scott is the latest person to join the growing list of ambassadors at 888poker.
Scott has been the face of poker on the small screen for years now, with presenting credentials that include Poker Night Live, Sky Poker, High Stakes Poker, the European Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker final table.
She describes herself more as a poker enthusiast than a pro, but she also has an impressive playing resume which includes coming runner-up in the Irish Open and winning the PartyPoker Sports Star Challenge.
“I’ve long been impressed with 888poker’s focus on providing a great player experience,” Scott said after she joined the team. “I’m a big believer in just how much fun poker can be and adore being involved with the recreational side of the game, as well as the more serious side.”
Chastain to play the lead in Molly's Game?
We told you earlier this year that Aaron Sorkin will be directing the movie of true life poker story Molly's Game, and now we have some casting news.
Two-time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain has apparently been offered the lead role of Molly Bloom, according to gossip site The Wrap.
Chastain has received Oscar nominations for her roles in The Help and Zero Dark Thirty, but might be most familar to audiences for her recent role in The Martian.

Poker icon Doyle Brunson was almost an icon of basketball, nearly playing for the Minnesota Lakers.
New footage has emerged of Tex Dolly being interviewed for ESPN 30 for 30 which surprisingly was turned down by the network.
The interview reveals how he taught himself basketball, and how he almost died several times when his poker games were robbed at gunpoint. It's well worth a view:
