Griffin Benger wins the Irish Open
The online star gets to 'cheque his privilege' with a €200,000 payday in Dublin.

While major tournaments were being played in the PokerStars Championship, the World Poker Tour and the 11th Anniversary Sunday Million, this year's Irish Open managed to attract a record breaking 1,029 entrants, more than doubling their €500,000 guarantee.
The €1,150 tournament attracted plenty of big names but perhaps the biggest surprise of all was the eventual winner, Canadian Griffin 'Flush_Entity' Benger.
As one of the most successful online MTT players in the world and one of last year's November Nine, one might have expected him to have been playing in one of the aforementioned 'bigger' events last week. It's perhaps just as well that he didn't because he walked away with €200,000 and one of the most coveted prizes in Europe, after defeating Mihail Mazilu heads-up.
He may also use this victory to shed off the infamous 'Check Your Privilege' hand with William Kassouf last year, which went viral (Though perhaps not right away as I am bringing it up right now).
