Negreanu bets on winning three WSOP Bracelets

KidPoker lays evens on himself taking away three bracelets from this year’s series.

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has made an undisclosed bet on himself at even money to win a minimum of three bracelets at this year’s upcoming WSOP.

In a bet made with Ben Lamb, six-time WSOP champion Negreanu has laid the short odds on himself despite the fact that it’s an almost impossible feat, even for a player of his status, because he wishes to use the wager as motivation for a successful summer.

Were he to achieve this, he would join the elusive company of the only other five players in history to have won three bracelets in one series.

Famously, Mercier was given 180/1 odds on a $10,000 bet by Vanessa Selbst that he couldn’t win three bracelets last year. The Floridian PokerStars Team Pro managed two but fell one shy of a third and the $1.8 million jackpot that Selbst would have been due to pay him.

This year, Mercier has revised his betting policy and, as we stand, has backed himself to win just the one bracelet this year according to the player’s Twitter feed.
