This week Poker Night in America have been streaming a $50,000 King of the Hill heads-up tournament between Phil Hellmuth, Frank Kassela, Daniel Cates and Doug Polk.

There will be no living with him after this.... the Poker Brat beat the Internet Kids to take it down. He defeated Polk in the first round and Cates in the final....is that durrrrr rematch finally on the cards?

Sander van Wesemael of the Netherlands has managed a hell of a feat at the PokerStars Championship, winning a €330 'PokerStars Cup' side event at each of the last three festivals - all of them huge field events.

He defeated 788 players in Marbella in June for €36,450, 558 players in Lille for €28,704 and finally a staggering 2,648 players this week in Barcelona for €127,000. 

It's been an amazing year for him in live events in Europe, he has cashed 30 times in 2017 so far, or once every eight days. 

Giant iPad dealerless tables

We have already seen electronic dealerless tables but they so far have been essentially nine computers around a regular poker table. Now Jackpot Digital have produced what is essentially a giant iPad poker table that reflects the regular actions at a live table, minus the dealer. 

Promising to be much faster than regular live tables, these new tables are expected to be trialed in US card rooms later this year.
