Poker in Red Dead Redemption 2

The most eagerly awaited video game of 2018 was released last week and it had a little something for poker fans. 

Red Dead Redemption 2 features a number of card games, including Texas Hold'em, and the gameplay looks like it could give some established operators a run for their money. 

Of course unlike regular real money online poker, you can't just shoot your opponent if you lose. This is what it looks like:

Lex taking a break

Quite a scare last week for everyones favourite Twitch streamer as Lex Veldhuis collapsed while at TwitchCon.

The PokerStars Pro had to cancel a scheduled meet and greet and explained further on his Twitter account that he will be taking a break to destress and recharge:

I’m sorry guys I have to cancel my meet and greet today. Im fine, don’t worry, but I collapsed on the street yesterday.

At the clinic they checked my vitals and said my heart showed irregularities most likely related to stress and fatigue.

Kabrhel wins 2nd WSOPE bracelet

Over at the WSOPE the €100,000 Super High Roller attracted an impressive 95 entries and featured as tough a final table as it gets, with David Peters, Mikita Badziakouski, Adrian Mateos and defending champion Dominik Nitsche all in contention.

The winner was Czech player Martin Kabrehel, who won his first WSOPE bracelet in the King's Casino one year earlier. He took down €2,624,340 for beating David Peters heads-up, after former PokerStrategy.com coach Julian 'JayGatsby' Thomas came third for €1,116,308.

Kabrehel has an amazing record at the King's Casino having now won two WSOPE bracelets and four WSOP Circuit rings there, he is also number one on the Czech all-time money list.

All that leaves is the €10,350 WSOPE Main Event which starts Day 2 shortly, but with late registrations still allowed we are yet to know the final numbers.
