Read the original script for Rounders

See what the first incarnation of the iconic poker movie looked like when it was first drafted by Brian Koppelman and David Levien.

Maybe even more enticing for hardcore poker fans than every episode of High Stakes Poker being free on YouTube, you can now read the original manuscript for Rounders that led to it getting commissioned. 

Director Brian Koppelman posted it online yesterday to share with aspiring filmmakers and poker fans, as well as to answer questions about it:

So I just posted the Rounders screenplay to my blog. https://t.co/Epzy0ZPXcg. This is the script that Dave and I broke in with. We were much younger then, obv, but reading it, good or bad, I see why it stood out. happy to answer any questions about it.

Not only is Koppelman an accomplished filmmaker (and creator of the show Billions) he shares a lot of advice online about a huge range of creative topics. He is also acutely aware of what a cult hit Rounders is within the poker community and often talks about on Twitter. 

That also includes fielding questions about Rounders 2, which has been hinted at for years but as yet is still just a pipedream.
