Casino closes because of COVID-19

We have already had two poker events cancelled because of the coronavirus and there is speculation the WSOP may be cancelled because of it too. 

Now in the US the Wildhorse Casino in Oregon has closed after one of it's staff tested positive for COVID-19. 

The casino is remaining closed while it is being sanitised and the authorities are trying to discover where the employee caught the virus. 

Meanwhile, the image below may be the shape of things to come at the poker table. That's Balakrishna Patur who is the overnight chipleader in the LA Poker Classic donning a face mask to avoid catching the coronavirus, and no doubt to stop giving off a few tells too. 

New cash drop formats?

Cash Drops and Splash Pots have revolutionised cash game poker, could they soon be doing the same for other formats?

Looking at the GGNetwork public Trello page it appears they are working on putting the Cash Drop idea (where random prizes are added to the table as a form of rakeback) into other formats. 

No word on what that format could be, it might just be regular cash games rather than 'Rush & Cash' tables. However, the GGNetwork likes to do things differently, so maybe they are looking at ways to add Cash Drops to SNGs, MTTs or Spin & Gold?

Get a shout out from KidPoker

While we are talking about the GGNetwork, GGPoker's lead ambassador has signed up to Cameo. 

It's a service where you can pay for a shout out from your favourite celebrity (in many cases the term 'celebrity' is used very loosely) and KidPoker is doing just that for $100 a time. 

That might sound like a pretty expensive amount when you can just argue with him for free on Twitter, but it looks like it is just for one month and all for charity, so if that's your sort of thing, fill your boots.
