GGPoker to make real names mandatory at high stakes

When you rail the nosebleed games at GGPoker you will know who is playing who, as real name tables become more popular online.

As we have written this week, GGPoker have really arrived on the world stage, hosting a very successful WSOP-C which included several big high roller events. 

Now pokerfuse has revealed that they will be making stakes of $25/$50 to $200/$400 real name only, to help accommodate their new nosebleed traffic.

This is said to be in an effort to crack down on multi-accounting, which has been shown to be a particular threat at high stakes. Accounts need to be verified within 48 hours now at the network. 

Real name tables were introduced to partypoker this year for their Powerfest series, live event satellites and any live tournament which was moved online because of the lockdown. Just this week the Super High Roller Bowl Online took place with real names at the tables. 

The feedback has been mostly positive too, while some players enjoy having anonymity many others have appreciated knowing who they are playing against. It has also made these tournaments much more fun to rail. 

It looks real name tables could become more popular, especially the longer we have to wait for the complete return of live poker.
