PokerStars launch Prestige Badges

Now if you have won a WCOOP or a MicroMillions you can show it off to your tablemates the next time you play at PokerStars.

If tournaments are all really about the bragging rights then PokerStars have introduced a feature that may prove popular. 

If you log in to your account today you will have the option to display one (and only one) Prestige Badge to show you have won a major tournament. 

You can currently get badges for winning an EPT, Sunday Million, Sunday Storm, WCOOP, SCOOP, Stadium Series, Trio Series, Sunday Billion, Galatic Series. MicroMillions or by qualifying for the PSPC or an EPT. 

Players who have previously won one of these badges will have them retrospectively applied to their accounts, but there might be a short delay. 

At the time of writing the list of badges really are the top tier of tournament achievement and with the exception perhaps of MicroMillions or the lower buy-in SCOOPs/WCOOPs, are out of the reach of many low stakes players. However, PokerStars have said they are looking at adding more badges in the future so your Hot $11 or Big $33 win could become a badget yet. 

No doubt PokerStars will come out with some content around this in the future but it will be interesting to see which player currently qualifies for having the most badges to date.
