WPT & Wynn to host largest guaranteed live event in poker history
$15 million will be guaranteed at the end of the year in the WPT World Championship at the Wynn in Las Vegas.
Live poker is back and, as such, operators are having to pull out all the stops. The World Poker Tour looks like the tour to beat in 2022 as they have announced a record breaker.
The WPT World Championship takes place between December 1-20 with a $10,400 Main Event with a $15 million guarantee.
While there have been much bigger events in terms of prize pool, this is the biggest guarantee in live poker history. There have been 35 live tournaments with a bigger prize pool, only one of which so far was a WPT event.

In addition to this event there is the WPT Prime Championship with a $1,100 buy-in and $2 million guaranteed as well as a $2 million guaranteed Mystery Bounty with a $100,000 single bounty.
