Pleno1 wins his first WSOP bracelet

Our former PokerStrategy.com colleague took down the Tag Team title alongside Espen Jørstad last night at the WSOP.

Before he was recognised as one of the biggest crushers in online MTTs, Patrick Pleno1 Leonard got his start as a staff member at PokerStrategy.com where he mostly studied poker when he really should have been working. 

Despite one of the best resumes in the game he did not have a WSOP bracelet to boast, until now. Last night alongside Espen Jørstad he took down the WSOP Tag Team event.

In the Tag Team event players form teams of two and take it in turns to play their stack. There is no limit on how long one player can stay at the table, they can swap as often as they want and the only stipulation is they both register together.

In any other event Pads would have commanded the biggest rail of the night, but he had to play the villain this time by defeating beloved poker Twitterer and commentator Jamie Kerstetter and her partner Corey Paggeot heads-up. It was a very good natured affair though and perhaps the final table with the most beer in plain sight of any at this series.
