Dan Sepiol Wins WPT World Championship
Sepiol dominates one of the toughest final tables ever seen on the World Poker Tour and wins over $5 million.

The final table of the $10,400 World Poker Tour Championship was one of the toughest we have ever seen. Chris Moorman, Andrew Lichtenberger, Ben Heath, Artur Martirosian, and Georgios Sotiropoulos are all seasoned pros and all boast bracelets amongst their accolades.
It was the perhaps lesser-known Dan Sepiol who took it down and he was no underdog. In fact he put on one of the best performances seen at a WPT final table to take it down for $5,282,954 after a heads-up deal with Sotiropoulos.
Three-handed was when the event was arguably won when Sepiol won this gigantic flip against Lichtenberger:

“The big turning point was the big flip versus Chewy, jacks versus ace-king,” said Sepiol following his victory. “Just get luckier than everyone else. That was my strategy, yeah. Try and pick my spots and get lucky.”
“The sincere hope for year two of the WPT World Championship was to improve upon the success of last year. With the help of player feedback, we feel that together we have met our goal,” said Adam Pliska, WPT CEO. “Thank you to all the players, qualifiers, fans, dealers, and Wynn staff. On behalf of WPT, I want to congratulate Dan on his incredible achievement and new place on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.”
Next up for the World Poker Tour is WPT Cambodia which kicks off the 2024 season.
