Tom Dwan called out for not paying his debts
To many he is regarded as one of the greatest of his generation, but not for the first time stories of Tom Dwan not paying his debts are circulating.
Peter Jetten, once a great friend of Dwans, revealed last week that Dwan has owed him six-figures and has avoided paying for four years.
Would caution against doing business with Tom Dwan. He’s owed me 226k for 4 years and continues to use delay tactics to avoid payment. He says he’ll pay next week, next triton poker stop, etc. but never does

Several notable high stakes players responded to the tweet suggesting Dwan has form for this. In 2019 Haralabos Voulgaris tweeted that Dwan had owed him seven figures for what is now more than 10 years, something which was mentioned at the table in this Hustler livestream when both played.
Then, infamously, there is the durrrR Challenge which has never concluded but Dwan was losing to the tune of $1,251,059 against Daniel Cates. Cates has continually been calling out Dwan for not settling up the $500,000 side bet for the challenge, which started in 2010.
It is an unfortunate reality of the world of high stakes poker that when money moves around very loosely, some people pay no respect for it when it belongs to other people. It is also a sad reality that some of the 'Heroes' of the poker world are financially complete disasters.
