High Stakes Poker breaks record for largest ever pot
And, of course, Alan Keating was involved in the seven-figure recorded breaker in a massive cooler of a hand.
The most iconic cash game show in poker set a new record this week, as High Stakes Poker recorded its largest-ever pot.
It involved, who else, but Alan Keating against Peter Wang. Wang bought in for $660,000, Keating was in for $1.3 million.
Keating flopped top set and Peter paired an Ace on the turn with the nut flush draw.
The money went in, they ran the river twice, and this is how it played out:
That is a $1,412,500 pot and is the biggest ever seen on the iconic show in 14 seasons. The previous record was a $1,227,900 pot between Guy Laliberte and David Benyamine back in Season 4, but that pot was chopped up after a deal between the two. The previous biggest pot that was won outright was Santosh Survana in Season 12, where he won $992,000 from Andrew Robl.
