Nick Schulman is inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame
At the first time of asking the voice of poker with seven WSOP bracelets makes it into poker's history books.
Nick Schulman has been inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in the first year he was eligible.
He beat off competition from Jeremy Ausmus, John Cernuto, Ted Forrest, Phil Galfond, Kathy Liebert, Mike Matusow, Isai Scheinberg and Scott Seiver to make it into the elite club of history-making poker players.
Schulman is considered by most to be the voice of poker and is regarded as the best commentator in poker. He is also clearly one of the best players, boasting seven WSOP bracelets, with one as recently as last month. He can play all the games, but has won the $10,000 2-7 Lowball Championship three times and is likely the best player ever in that format.

The criteria for the Poker Hall of Fame, as always, is as follows:
- A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
- Played for high stakes
- Be a minimum of 40 years old at the time of nomination
- Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
- Stood the test of time
- Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results
