sub-factors:

i almost never lack motivation to play. after some rly brutal hu session where i got raped, i might not have motivation playing hu for a bit. but then i just grind some sh for some hours/days ;)

i dont rly allow myself not to be motivated. i mean im healthy and i am the captain of my life and i can navigate wherever i want. i can do whatever i want, and basically my poker skills got me there.

i could finance my university education
i can live a rly cool (semi baller) life and travel around like a monkey
i can pay expensive trading/investing coaches with my poker moniez and get some new skills
i can save some moniez for crazy future business ventures

ty for the reply, learning another game is a good idea, variety is the spice of life after all!

hm, im happy with all my "big" decisions so far. ofc, in hindsight i would slightly change some decisions (1 main study enough, 2nd one was not necessary; starting plo as a main game a bit earlier etc)

however, what rly counts is the decision at the time with given information available. and so far i think im confident that my decisions were maxLifeEV.

if i could, i would most likely not change one big thing. more like some small things i probably messed up in relationships (not on purpose, but i still did). but even that seems a bit unfair to me, cuz even knowing that i made some mistakes .... we can only learn and grow by making mistakes.

let me quote michael jordan:
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

im a big believer in making mistakes and learning from them. so i'll try to continue making as many mistakes as possible in order to improve as much as i can (ofc not only poker wise!)

If you could release your own 10 track "monkeystyle pwnage king julien dance soundtrack" compilation album what would the tracks be?

Also just saying thanks. A while ago i watched one of your HUSNG vids and there was about 10 seconds where you said something which i believe has turned me from a b/e slightly losing player to crushing my limit and brought a new lease of life to my poker study. awesome.

Just got to gold again and I found your cash game videos that you did on Party NL100. Was wondering if you think this style would work on the nitty micros at pokerstars?

Also, cheers for the videos, if and when I break out the micros again and can afford coaching services yours will be the first stop. Awesome stuff :)

i have no idea about the low stakes nl games on different sites, but on these stakes it all comes down to playing vs player types. u dont rly need to adjust to every single opponent. exploit the passive guys, bluff the "regs" and only vbet the fish. eeez game :f_cool:

TwiceT: it's not angle-shooting. It's outright cheating. You simply can't misannounce your hand in order to get a fold from your opponent, you can however muck if he mucks. At my local casino dealers can, upon request, retrieve opponents' hand from the muck in order to resolve who won the pot in this situation.

So yeah you can do things like snapcall on the river to get a muck from your opponent, but you can't snapcall, declare "nuts!" and try get them to muck.

edit: just watched the pokernoob vs roland de wolfe video. pokernoob at no point announces his hand (according to the comments he did say "i have a pretty good hand" though) so there's the difference. i had this discussion with some americans in vegas and appaaarently you can do things like announce "8 kicker" for example calling with 86 on A97A2.

You mentioned that before poker u were tilting for nothing and poker change that. So can you say that poker totally change your perspective to life and control your emotionals overall?

When you were studying at uni/ master degree, did u tried to connect what u learn at uni/your collegues to what you learn in poker? Or do you think it is two totally different worlds?

If you had an oportunity to exchange your car for a brand new 911, free of charge, would you do it?

I remember when u were blogging with tln and u 2 were really considering getting a job, probably a voluntary job to fulfill the poupose of your lives, but after a while you both chose not to work. What happen to make your decision. Did you accepted yourself as a poker pro, or tought that the discussion about fulfilling life with working was bullshit? Im asking this because it still stuck in my head that I want to work but i keep postponing this task. Dunno if I want to work because society thinks work is good, and poker bad, or because i truly wanna work in the environment i've been preparing at my uni. Guess its a mix of both but wanna hear your toughts :f_p:

What kind of clothes do u prefer to use in a daily basis?

I would like to ask my questions but my english sucks and I cant even formulate some questions :f_frown:

w000t, rly?!??!?!

"nuts" is not an official poker vocab. why cant i say "nuts" and get him to muck?

i do even say "nuts" if i make a bluffcatch call with bottom pair cuz i feel im ahead. i just say "nuts" mostly expecting to have the best hand (in the sense of relative nuts its not even a lie!)

but i think it has to be completely fine to just say nuts and in case he mucks before me, i also muck. if he shows i just also show my "nuts".

i still dont quite know where to draw the line now. as i already wrote before, where exactly is the difference between those spots?

my problem is, i dont see a difference in
- not telling the truth about my hand between the river betting action and the showdown
- not telling the truth about my hand within a hand
- not telling the truth about my hand right after showdown when sb asked my what i had (ofc im also not saying the truth in that spot)

another noobish question. i have to read the official rules used in most casinos imo. i think if casino rules dont mention something, i can just do it. if they say its not allowed, im just not. should be my best line. in vegas i will definitely read the rio rules for max exploitation

yep, poker totally changed my perspective of life (to the better imo). im also in full contorl of my emotions (mostly very beneficial in rl)

i think these are different worlds. however, both helped me learning to learn most efficiently. im not the smartes guy, but im learning/working xtremely effectively and efficiently.

yes i would exchange it for a brand new 911. simply cuz its +ev. i can buy 5 pimped tt after i resell the 911. and even if not, 911 carrera 4s cabrio will be my next car anyway most likely. i like porsche.

voluntary job and social stuff. i try to be a nice guy for society (doanting here and there, supporting small businesses in the towns i live), but its true i think a lot more has to be done for sb with my life.
my gameplan is definitely questionable. but i think its max ev overall to grind out moniez with pokers and all the finance ventures i will be in soon and hopefully in some years, i can start my private equity company thats investing in young start-ups. i will try to mostly invest in companies who rly benefit society and if i make rly big moniez one day, i will def try to play it like bill gates jr and try to rly help ppl around the world.

the problem is, ofc i could do some voluntary work and help some ppl here and there. but if i make huge moniez one day and am able to help many ppl, i think thats even better. and ofc, u dont have to underestimate what a selfish person i am i mean i just love my life tooo much. i dont wanna stay at one place just to be able to do my voluntary job.

what i am sure about tho and i would take any sidebet on it. in case i get rly rich one day (either through my own skill or being lucky), i will def not throw my money out of the window and live the sickest baller life out there. ofc i will have a nice car and a house, but thats it. i will try hard to invest my money rly wisely and will try to help some ppl out there who just didnt have the luck to be born in my place.

daily basis: hm, jeans and (polo) shirt.
when grinding: (hoody if cold) poker shirt and track/sweat pants

98% certain it's illegal in vegas. they have lots of angleshooters though so it makes a lot of sense that they'd have found something like this out. I understand your argument, basically you can't mis-announce something like "i have aces full" or something

Hey TT, I was watching a FR vid of your ages ago and there was a spot in it I always wondered about but never asked you.

You in the blinds w AA utg opens and it's folded to you, you explain that you don't 3b v utg in FR as it's too hard to balance, I was just wondering if this is only from the blinds or from any position first in?

aren't you afraid that tons of money will change you and your nature to being more selfish, buying useless things etc. instead of helping those in need? i mean, i've got also big plans and am quite confident that i can earn a lot of cash and then help the others but that thing above scares me a lot
