Stars has always been the site I played the least (besides first half of 2009 before finishing uni where I grinded a lot 1/2 not to get distracted too much from poker). I always went for playing on a few smaller sites. These days I play on several sites, obv with good rb deals.

For me personally, my approach is maxEV. If you want to play on the biggest site though with max table selection options, max games available, best support and best software you probably have to stay on Stars

I'd like to take the same max EV approach, that's why I'm thinking about changing sites, but I'm a little scared of playing US accepting networks as I don't see why a Black Tuesday would not be around the corner.

Would you recommend any ♦ ? I'll add you in skype if you don't want to give this advice here :).

1) Would you be willing to post a video of you performing the kingjulian dance?

2) First, I didn't care about moving up the limits or something. I just wanted to play the game itself - I sat in front of my computer for hours just playing for playmoney...
Now I play for real money and I am tending to tilt easily - any avice there?
I play NL5 at the moment and even on these limit I tilt easily...

It totally freaks me out when I suffer 2 or 3 bad beats in a row! (Worst experience so far set over set and villain hits four of a kind on the river ♠_evil: and then the comments in the chat box... ♠_evil: ♠_evil: ♠_evil: )

3) How did you motivate yourself to read articles/ really learn them? Was it hard for you? I always just want to play and play...

4) How important are sweat sessions? I mean, I have never done one! (just 2 little coaching with a friend who plays 25/50 but obviously he does not have that much time...) Would you be there where you are now without studygroups/sweatsessions/friends and so on?

By the way, if anybody is interested in a sweat session - please write me. I would also be ready to take part in a study group or something - I think that would be a great motivation!

Wouldn't it be nice to teach them the julianic style of live so that you have a little support to take over the world?

It takes years to master a prof mindset. Books like The Poker Mindset, Peak Performance Poker or The Mental Game of Poker are definitely helpful!

Sweats are good, always a great a idea to exchange opinions with players you respect and play same limits.
Most important thing is to study hard yourself, still discussions with others are also crucial.

Just interested, if it´s possible to have a positive winrate in PLO HU from the BB ? Playing against strong competition/ playing against weak competition ? I know in NLH it´s possible, but as in Omaha position plays even bigger role, I´m not sure if it´s doable there

Also, what are the overalls winrates achievable in PLO HU let say up to PLO600 in your opinion ?

I know I had like 16-24 bb/100 over big samples on my main limits in 2010 and 2011. I have no idea about my own SB and BB winrates (dont have these DBs any more on my current laptop).

PLO HU Pro Mutardet just told me he has +72 in SB and -20 in BB over decent sample.

Dont focus too much on these numbers though. Just play your best, table select well and check those stats out after 50k+ hands sample

I mean trustworthy sites is what you have to go for these days with so many going broke.

Just stick to big sportsbooks imo.

From where did you learn PLO's strategies? I ask since Poker Strategy has only a few PLO articles.

How tight a range would you look to open %-wise and how would it be constructed ? Particularly interested in the non-premium/raggy big pairs (QQxx /KKxx) .

I'm afraid I can't answer your question.

You are asking for information that we cannot even discuss adequately within one hour of private coaching. There is just sooo much to say. Short answer: Book a few hours private coaching with somebody you wanna get coached by (obv Im the best, but Im not cheap ... you know that already probably ♦) and you think can help you best with your game.

Do you think it should be possible for anyone to answer your general question? If that was easily possible, this game wouldn't be as profitable as it is .. there is just a bit more to it.

You actually asked 2 questions: In a 6handed game, every single position is unique. So you can't just write UTG/MP. Those are 2 different worlds even though your stats might just show a small difference ... but a significant one!

If you dont get 3bet much, you can open more crappy KKxx, QQxx, JJxx combos. Especially when players behind you have less than 70bb. The fact of villains stack size (the one you described as loose-passive) is even more important than his or your stack size in that spot. Even if you chose a static range of positions (e.g. you always MP, fish always CO with 48/24 WTS 36 to make it easier for you to deduct general ranges you should play) the kind of other players in positions + their stack size is way to critical as well, so we cannot only focus on this one player to determine our range.

What we can do though, is talk about concepts, ideas, scenarios .... once you thought as many of those through, you will get a very good feeling for ranges.

Ofc not a satisfying answer .. but I wouldnt even consider it an answer in the first place. Your question is so huge, it would take me at least 10 paperbook pages to only try to touch the most important things I would like to share with you.

Cliffs:
- vs ppl who are short and dont fold pre, open crappy high pairs and get them in on early streets
- vs ppl who 3b a lot dont open reggy big pairs from MP/UTG
- dont ever listen to cliffs when you wanna make serious money playing poker

If you were starting out in poker now with zero knowledge of game or skills would you still think it is worthwhile or profitable enough to commit to moving up the stakes given the tougher climate at all levels ?
