thanks for your help

playing a lot means playin every single second I could (besides uni, gf, random stuff). it also means not wasting hours doing nothing. I never had a sampel size monthly goal. I just played as much as somehow possible. Can't say now how many SNGs, but many :) I played non stop sessions between 6 and 18 tables.

No days off. I was obsessed with getting better.

Hi again,i`m having a problem : it's called frustration.

I have been playing poker for a while now(not that much really just @200.000 hands in cash game + ? tournaments/live)... and i`m getting pissed the fuck off because my win rate is low o.O average this month 3.5BB/100 nl4 3.7BB/100 NL10 for about 30k hands in total. I had 11BB/100 for only one month(that was way back in november)

I`m seriously getting frustrated because i think i played for some time now and my results are like that,do you think those win rates are shit?Or i just want too much to quickly from my self.I`m not sure what to think but i do know that i want your honest opinion on this

If those win rates are so horrible as i see them, tell me what should i do?Play less/study more?Play even more?Reduce the number of the tables i play(only playing 5-6 and i`m feeling confy)Shove my head into my datebase for a few days to figure out wtf is going on? :|

I need some pro advice,thx

P.S. I`m sorry for the cursing the month just ended and the results were far from what i expected, bugged me off pretty badly.

1) dont "expect" winnings.
2) dont care about wr. play your best, improve every single day and move up in stakes according to brm. you should move up faster than it takes to see your true winrate. dunno, but probably 250k hands needed to see your true winrate at a certain limit. but who cares? just play your best, improve every day and in the end you will see how much money you made :)
3) work on your mindset and accept the swings and frustrations. they are part of the game. learn to deal with them :) there is no way around that.
4) you already said what you have to do. analyze db, watch vids, play focused etc . now you also have to do it. talking about it is easier ;)

Have you tested out our Search Feature ?

You could filter it to show only TwiceT's post that include "Investments" for example ;)

Did you ever had a month after witch you finished -$?

If you ever did,at what limit did it occur and what was the aprox sample you had for the month, hands wise. And most importantly how did you deal with it?.

With only few days left i`m now preparing for my first losing month since i started playing poker( i played somewhere @200k hands|@25k hands/month),i went up in limits went really well, then really bad ... then i tilted and burned 25% of my bankroll. It's no way i`m getting out of this month on +$?How should i deal with it?I`m personally preparing at least a week away from the game.

Thx TT

probably 5 out of 50 have been losing or break even. mostly when i played almost exclusively higher stakes 5/10+. so 10% for my personal sample. probably only that low cuz i a) (used to) put a lot of volume in b) never rly played only highstakes (10/20+) c) am a winning plr and table select well

be happy you experience it now and not on 3/6 :) ofc all of us go through it. just keep on learning, improve your mindset and your game. thats the only way to succeed in the longrun.

im playing more live now and also focusing way more on my business ventures. so i dont get as much volume in atm as i used to. ofc i run cold as ice too from time to time. just dont take those swings too serious. they are just part of the game. respect your brm and keep on moving. getting hit and hit and hit and keep moving forward is the key. thats how winning is done ((c) rocky)

Woot! I have made the exact same suggestion (only in theory, of course) over 6 months ago. Someone stole my idea!

didnt hear about it so far.

whats the benefit? I guess they take some kind of commission, right? So our benefit is we get EV $ and dont have to stand those swings?

I rather take the swings, play according to BRM and dont pay anybody anything. If they dont take commission im scared they install some crazy shit and bust my roll playing me hu on other sites

AI EV is only a small part of running cold or hot. There is way more to it. Esp in deepstacked games. Might not be true for shallow stack strategies or SNG play.

Why did you play Rush FR? To put it in other words, why did you prefer FR over SH on rush tables?

I played SH and FR. 400 SH wasn't rly running, 90% of action was on 400 FR. I prefer playing SH.

on Zoom its different. No FR running on 200 and 500, only SH.

best source: develop your own game, find study groups with smart hu players on your stakes. I dont know of any book out there (except a short chapter on HU in balugawhale's "easy game"). also watching videos on training sites is rly helpful to get inspired and new ideas how to play certain spots. (old videos on DC are nuts imo .... FwF, WoT, Krantz, Hasheeb etc etc etc)

btw: HU NLHE is dead, everyone is solid. HU PLO ftw :]

I cannot send you my videos, I can only link you to them ;)

1k BR you mean? SNGs and MTTs. Dont remember how long it took me, a few weeks probably on the 11$ SNGs.

Hey TwiceT,

I'm currently playing nl25/50 sh on stars and when I usually say to people that I play on stars they sound like "why man _confused: ".

Should I think about moving to another site for some bigger rb, do you think is it better to play on other sites before I can make supernova ?
