What you are saying make sense, and is standard, however u must understand this is not playing against some random fish, this is playing 35 hu sng v a regular who is up over 10k who we have history against, the reason i bet small on turnis this:
What you said: bet bigger on turn since if he has draws he will pay u off:
Possible problems: If i bet bigger on turn, he folds a high probably, and has alot less fold equity if he misses his draws so he won't ship river.
With previous game history, i piss him off alot with betting under hp on paired boards and previously i have showed him complete air when i did so, so i was thinking by betting under hp, he would know i would have air some of time, so would always shove river regardless if he hit or not, i am 100 percent on this so none can tell me otherwise ♦
Possible hands: His 3b was very low, so I put him on strong range, as i said b4 kk-kj is pretty much out of question cause of unlikely ness, so if he has it i just have to pay him off, i was thinking he could have k-q on turn or ak, but he would always c/r shove there, and k-9 was deff out question cause of tight 3b range, so in my mind he either had a hand like a-q, a-10, , aa-88, i think he ships all pocket pairs because of draws on turn, so like i said, he either has fh on turn or nothing in my mind, and cause of the unlikely ness of it I think i have 2 pay him off, on turn the main hands i put him on was a-q or 99, but then the river came and put another 9, so in my mind he had quads or nothing.
So analysing the flop and turn bet deeper, since i know he has a-x most the time, i like betting small to value own him and also price him in. And it's by far the best play given the history double barreling air when betting small on paired boards
Even if i was 50/50 on him having quad nines or not, i still have 2 call river because of money in middle.
