Ladies and Gentlemen, let's shuffle up and deal! Day 1A of the Main Event started about half an hour ago and Team PokerStrategy.com member Allanon is playing today. This is the official live ticker thread which we will use to keep you up to date about anything that goes on here at the Gran Casino in Barcelona. As I'm typing this all the lights in the press room went down and about 50 reporters are covered in complete darkness. "That's not gonna work" "It is quite cozy though" I already love the atmosphere here. Some lights would be nice though.

Nazgul lost a small pot. He flopped top pair. So he bet the flop and the turn and got flat called. River he checks and villain makes a small bet. Nazgul calls and runs into a set. He was pretty relieved the guy played the hand so badly and didn't get maximum value.

I just saw pokernoob win a pot. Didn't know what happend though but he bet the turn and picked up a decent amount of chips. He now has about 55k in front of him and this goes for Nazgul as well.

Trader called Marcel Luske on the SB and they checked it down. Marcel showed A6 and the ace on the board was enough to win him the hand.

Ok I completely misunderstood that hand, but Nazgul explained it to me during the break. He had KJo and was playing the hand OOP, don't know what happend preflop.

Flop is: 8:h:6:c4:h

He checks and villain checks behind

Turn: K:c

So Nazgul bets out Top Pair and gets called.

River: blank

With so many draws busted Nazgul decides to bluff induce. So he checks, villain bets and Nazgul calls. The guy showed 88 for a flopped set.

Just a short update: Pokernoob is more or less dominating his table. He's picking up chips left and right. He managed to chip up to 75k which is probably good for the chiplead or close to it atm.

Appearantly someone stole Daniel Negreanu's wallet outside the casino.
Wasn't enough to bring Daniel's mood down though. When he noticed his water at his table was suddenly gone he said to the floormanager:

"Well yeah. It was right here. A nice glass of water. They need that too? They're taking away that too? What do you want next huh. My hat... my underwear?"

Funny stuff!

Appearantly Boris Becker lost his wallet too, but not sure bout that one.

Nazgul has 47k at the moment.

Pokernoob, who was at the top of the chipleaders, just lost a big pot when he went all in with his QQ only to run into Aces.

He lost 21k chips and is now down to 55k, which is still a very nice stacksize right now.

Break chipcounts:

Rafael: 31k
Sebastian: 45k
Benjo: 27k
Trader: 42k
Pokernoob: 43k
Nazgul: 60k

Trader had some bad luck early on. One time he flat called an open raise from Marcel Luske with JJ. He called a bet on an 8hi flop but he had to fold to a large bet on a A turn, Luske showed KK.

Later on he made trips with AJo on an AAxxx board and ran into AQ.

Nazgul just lost a pot to Elky. Elky called him on a K hi flop and donked a K turn. Nazgul folded either on the turn or the river claiming he layed down aces. I wonder if it's true.

Trader just 4bet on the button vs Big Blind who called.

Flop came: AK8 rainbow.

Trader made a cbet, villain thought really long, looking really frustrated.

He went for a shove and Trader called him showing AK. The other guy showed AQ and busted out of the tournament. Trader now has about 88k in chips, Pokernoob still has 50k.
