Hi,
after a long time. i'd like to get back into poker. Do you have any books you'd recommend? I just finished The Theory of Poker.
Thanks
I play no limit holdem (cash game/mtt).
Poker therapy by Peter clarke?
I was think to read:
- modern poker theory
- winning poker tournaments one hand at a time (for mtt)
I recommend watching more than reading but to each their own.
For MTT:
For theory watch the Play with Lex series on his channel for low stakes and BBZ Poker for more advanced theory.
For gameplay and getting hyped up for playing watch peace&loove, Wistern, Doug Polk bankroll challenges. For higher stakes - Lex Veldhuis and Patrick "Pads" Leonard - in my eyes the best MTT player and coach.
For Cash:
I don't recommend playing cash games lower than NL50 because it's very hard to win due to the high rake, high rake cap and low rakeback. Notice how Doug Polk made most of his first $1000 with tournaments in his bankroll challenge and that was a while back. It keeps getting harder.
At NL50 the rake cap is 4bb in most rooms so I guess it's fine.
For Cash theory I really like Saulo Costa for exploitation tips and tricks. For solver and stats work - AlvinTeachesPoker. Very good channel imo.

Yes I checked Peter Clarke was the author. No Limit holdem I have like 1 year of experience at the lowest stakes; im surprised by how huge the player pool is compared to Fixed Limit holdem. I dont think there is a good book about "NLHE online", i havent found it in the languages that i know (english and estonian).
