If you're a starting player and have someone post hands with your hole cards on this site, you're kinda screwed, especially if you don't know its there. Hud stats are one thing, even though some pros are against it like Patrik Antonius, this is even worse and also damn insulting if you found out some d*ckbag posted a hand he won against you for personnal gratification for the whole world to see and exploit you. This isn't fair play anymore and I'll have to change cardroom at least, no wonder this game is illegal online in the states.
Hi Stevn743
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com!
It is generally considered courtesy to hide the players screen names when posting a hand.
However, it isn't the end of the world.
Let's presume that someone posted a hand where you are identified.
For argument's sake let's presume that you made a big mistake in that hand.
Bear in mind that it is one hand -- you will be playing hundreds of thousands of 'em.
If you learn from that mistake, everyone that tries to exploit you on the basis of that one hand will fail to do so.

Indeed I don't play like I used to but its just tilting me so damn much I just want to find the soab and knock him out, this site has to be one of the lowest a human being can go to earn a living.
if you are starting player then nobody will try to search your leaks on weaktight ♦ I do not know how high you should play so that somebody would even care about expoiting you that way
so you'd have to be a baaad reg to be exploited. I take back what I said about it being one of the lowest thing a human being can go to earn a living, it can be a good tool I guess but its almost like stealing a lolipop from a baby in a way, the silver lining of poker.
In a way I'm surprised to know most people don't mention names in the forums when showing hands in a game infested with some of life's most degenerate people, gamblers.
Hey Stevn743,
The reason most players use positional aliases rather than screennames is not to protect their opponents, it is to protect themselves.
It would be much easier to exploit someone by using their SharkScope results or by using tracking software like Holdem Manager 2 or Poker Tracker 4 than by viewing random hands posted on the internet.

Laz
Good point Lazza,
There is another reason too -- it makes the hand way easier to follow if the positions are used instead of the names.
Peace,
VS
If your just starting player and still not good enough I don't think it would result some damage to you. Try to take that as a mistake to be reviewed like in boxing were the loosing player watch how he lost the match. It can also improve you skills over the time.

Do you tilt because of the rain too? or because somebody is wearing that stupid hat?
There is no power in blaming outer things for your emotional instability.
the more responsible and effective way to put it - "I am tilting because of ..." And then Find exactly that "why you tilt" and FIX it. Just burn it out of your mind.
Don't let the control of your life slip through your hands.
