My last post regarding A9s was an overplay but this one I think I did the opposite.

GG Poker - $0.25 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 104.08 BB
SB: 84.48 BB
BB: 104.04 BB
UTG: 113.92 BB
MP: 293.56 BB
Hero (CO): 104.88 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 9♦ A♦

UTG raises to 2 BB, MP calls 2 BB, Hero calls 2 BB, fold, SB calls 1.6 BB, BB calls 1 BB

Flop: (10 BB, 5 players) 9♣ A♠ 5♠
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP bets 5 BB, Hero calls 5 BB, fold, fold, fold

Turn: (20 BB, 2 players) 7♣
MP bets 15 BB, Hero calls 15 BB

River: (50 BB, 2 players) 5♥
MP checks, Hero bets 17.52 BB, MP calls 17.52 BB

Spoiler

Hero shows 9♦ A♦ (Two Pair, Aces and Nines)
(Pre 67%, Flop 66%, Turn 80%)
MP shows T♠ 9♠ (Two Pair, Nines and Fives)
(Pre 33%, Flop 34%, Turn 20%)
Hero wins 80.56 BB

I think the villain is an unknown player.

Thoughts?

I think it is alright- I think maybe raising flop and leading turn you could have gotten a little more value, but the call on the river helps.

Seems like a easy raise on the flop for value and protection with top 2 pair.
You blocking 2 set combo's. The rest seems alright. I would most likely bet river a little bit more than half pot for value.

but this one I think I did the opposite.

Its not because:
Flop: (10 BB, 5 players)

Like mkBISCUIT mentioned you could raise flop but I dont think its that necessary unless MP is really weak player. Competent one will throw AK faster than light if you raise in 5way.

In a way, yes, and the theme continues on turn because V leads rather large. So I was kind of in a bind here, tbh.
